Laboratory

Our on-site laboratory processes the tests doctors rely on to diagnose accurately — from a quick malaria test to full blood counts, blood chemistry, urinalysis, stool examination and confidential HIV testing and counselling.

What to expect

• A trained lab technician collects your sample using sterile, single-use equipment
• Most routine results are ready the same day; some specialised tests may take longer
• Results are explained by your doctor alongside your symptoms, not handed over alone
• Confidential counselling is available alongside sensitive tests such as HIV screening

How to prepare

• Some tests (e.g. blood sugar, cholesterol) require 8–12 hours of fasting — ask when booking
• Stay well hydrated unless told otherwise
• Bring any previous lab results for comparison

Scan (Ultrasound)

Ultrasound scanning uses sound waves, not radiation, to look inside the body — commonly used for abdominal complaints, pelvic concerns, and following a pregnancy's progress and due date.

What to expect

• A warmed gel is applied to your skin so the probe can capture clear images
• The scan itself is painless and typically takes 15–30 minutes
• A written report is shared with your referring doctor to guide your treatment

How to prepare

• For pelvic and early pregnancy scans, come with a comfortably full bladder unless told otherwise
• For abdominal scans, you may be asked to fast for a few hours beforehand
• Wear loose, easy-to-lift clothing

X-Ray

We're in the process of setting up our digital X-ray equipment. This service isn't available on-site just yet — in the meantime, our Laboratory and Scan (Ultrasound) services are fully up and running, and our team can help direct you to X-ray imaging nearby if you need it urgently.

Admissions

When a condition needs more than a single visit, our admissions team arranges a comfortable bed and round-the-clock nursing care until you're well enough to go home.

What to expect

• An admitting doctor assesses you and explains why admission is recommended
• Our front desk registers your details and a next of kin contact
• Nurses monitor and record your condition throughout your stay, with regular doctor rounds
• A clear discharge plan and any follow-up appointments before you leave

How to prepare

• Bring personal toiletries, a change of clothes and any regular medication
• Have a next of kin's name and phone number ready for registration
• Ask our front desk about visiting hours for family and friends

Where you'll stay

Depending on your condition and availability, you'll be admitted to our general ward or a private room, each fitted with a mosquito net and call access to nursing staff.

Outpatient

Outpatient is the fastest route to see a clinician when you don't need to stay overnight — routine check-ups, dressing changes, minor treatments and follow-up reviews all happen here.

What to expect

• Registration at the front desk, then a wait based on arrival order or appointment time
• A consultation, treatment or review with the appropriate clinician
• Same-visit access to pharmacy, lab or imaging if your treatment needs it

How to prepare

• Bring any referral notes or previous outpatient records
• Walk-ins are welcome, though booking ahead reduces your wait

Immunisation

From routine childhood vaccines to travel and adult booster shots, our immunisation service keeps you and your family protected against preventable disease — and keeps your vaccination records up to date.

What to expect

• A quick health check to confirm the vaccine is appropriate on the day
• The vaccination itself, followed by a short observation period
• Your immunisation card updated and stamped before you leave

How to prepare

• Bring your child's health/immunisation card, or your own if it's an adult booster
• Dress in clothing that allows easy access to the upper arm or thigh
• Mention any past reactions to vaccines or known allergies

Operating Theatre

Our sterile, fully-equipped theatre supports minor and select major surgical procedures, with a trained surgical team and careful post-operative monitoring.

What to expect

• A pre-operative assessment, including any required lab work
• A clear explanation of the procedure, anaesthesia options and recovery time
• Strict sterile protocols in theatre, followed by monitored recovery afterwards

How to prepare

• Follow the fasting instructions given by your surgical team exactly
• Arrange for someone to accompany you home after the procedure
• List current medications, especially blood thinners, with your care team beforehand

Antenatal & Maternity

From your first antenatal visit through delivery and postnatal review, our maternity team supports you and your baby with regular check-ups, scans, and skilled care at every stage.

What to expect

• A first antenatal visit covering your health history, due-date dating and initial tests
• Regular follow-up check-ups through each trimester, including growth and wellbeing checks
• Skilled delivery care, with the operating theatre on standby for any complications
• An infant incubator on hand for newborns who need extra warmth or monitoring after delivery
• A postnatal review for both mother and baby after delivery

How to prepare

• Book your first antenatal visit as early in pregnancy as possible
• Bring your antenatal card and any previous scan results to every visit
• Prepare a simple birth plan and pack a hospital bag ahead of your due date
